This week, I was assigned to Google myself. Everyone hears the horror stories about what horrible things can be linked to someone’s name. I was amazed at how little bad information I found on myself, simply because no one else has my name. It’s quite the luxury. The most I found when looking up “Makayla Mais” on Google was my social media accounts, my high school activities, a lists of scholarships I received, articles I wrote and pictures I took for my high school journalism department.
I always think before I post something, because I am wanting to get a job representing a major league team as part of their press. If I look bad, they will as well. I definitely will continue this, as it looks great to many companies, and I feel proud of myself for doing something that not many students my age consider. I feel I can only improve from here!
